Big Decision by the Government: Now the People Will Not Go to Offices, the Government Will Reach Every Doorstep : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand Government’s flagship initiative “Government at the Doorstep of Every Citizen” has emerged as an effective model of good governance, sensitive administration, and swift grievance redressal across the state. The Chief Minister’s clear policy — taking the government directly to the people — is now strongly visible on the ground.
On December 26, 2025, a total of 126 public service camps were organized across all 13 districts of the state, with direct participation from 64,960 citizens. Through these camps, 10,962 grievances were received, out of which 7,952 complaints were resolved on the spot or disposed of within a stipulated timeframe.
In addition, various certificates and government benefits were provided in 12,399 cases, while 39,923 citizens were benefitted through other welfare schemes.
These are not merely statistics, but a clear reflection of Chief Minister Dhami’s work culture, accountability, and zero-tolerance policy.
**Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated,

“My government’s resolve is clear — citizens will no longer have to run from office to office; instead, the government itself will reach their doorstep. Through the ‘Government at the Doorstep of Every Citizen’ program, we are ensuring that even the person standing at the last mile receives government services and welfare benefits without any hurdles. Timely resolution of every grievance and delivery of benefits to every eligible citizen is our top priority.”**

While reviewing the program, the Chief Minister issued clear instructions to officials that for beneficiaries who are differently-abled, elderly, or from vulnerable sections and are unable to attend the camps, officials must personally visit their homes. The resolution of complaints and applications should not remain limited to paperwork but must be real, effective, and result-oriented. Any negligence, delay, or indifference at any level will not be tolerated.

Feedback-based monitoring must be ensured in every district. Welfare schemes should reach the last person with transparency and dignity.
The Chief Minister also made it clear that strict action will be taken against officials found negligent in public service.
